LifeOS Privacy Policy

This policy covers Peak Fettle LifeOS (“LifeOS”), the focus, habits and goals app made by Peak Fettle (“we”, “us”). LifeOS shares your account with the Peak Fettle training app, which has its own privacy policy.

The short version: what you track in LifeOS stays on your iPhone. Our servers hold what we need to sign you in and confirm your subscription, and nothing we could read about your habits, goals or moods.

What stays on your iPhone

These live in a private database inside the app on your device. We never receive them:

  • Habits, habit stacks, check-offs and habit notes.
  • Goals, milestones and weekly reviews.
  • Mood check-ins and their notes, and the guided exercises you complete.
  • Your onboarding survey answers and the plan suggestions made from them.
  • Focus groups, rules, breaks and focus statistics.
  • Reminders, settings and the optional extras you switch on.

Screen Time data

LifeOS uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity) to block and limit the apps you choose. The apps and websites you pick are handed to LifeOS as opaque tokens, and your usage charts are drawn by iOS inside a sandboxed extension. iOS does not let this data leave your device, and we never receive it.

What reaches our servers, and why

Your account

Your email address and an account ID, so you can sign in with email and password or with Sign in with Apple. If you choose Hide My Email, we only receive Apple’s relay address. Passwords are stored as a salted hash, never in readable form.

Your subscription

Whether your account has Peak Fettle Pro. Purchases are made through Apple; RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives your purchase history and account ID so we can confirm your subscription in both apps. We never see your payment details.

Your shared streak

With Pro, each day you complete a habit, LifeOS records that date on our server so days count toward the streak you share with Peak Fettle. Only the date is sent: not which habit, and nothing else about your day.

Accountability partner (optional, off by default)

If you switch this on, LifeOS uploads one line of counts, such as “3/5 habits today · 12 day streak”, to a private link you share with one person. Anyone holding the link can read that line and nothing else: no habit names, no moods, no apps. Pausing or removing the partner makes the link stop working immediately.

Backups (optional)

If you turn on backup, your LifeOS data is encrypted on your iPhone (AES-256) with a key protected by a recovery code that only you hold. We store the encrypted file and cannot read it. Your Focus rules and app selections are never included; iOS ties them to the device.

Crash reports

If LifeOS crashes, a diagnostic report (the error, where in the code it happened, your device model, iOS version and app version) is sent to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider. Reports are not tied to your account, and text inside them is redacted before it leaves your device.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising, no tracking, and no selling or sharing of your data.
  • No analytics SDKs.
  • No AI processing of your data. LifeOS’s suggestions come from fixed rules that run on your iPhone.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors, under contract and only for the purposes above:

  • Supabase — database, sign-in and encrypted backup storage.
  • Railway — hosting for our API.
  • RevenueCat — subscription status.
  • Sentry — crash reports.
  • Expo — delivers app updates. It receives technical details such as the app version and platform, never your account.
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases and Screen Time.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account data while your account is open. To delete everything, open LifeOS and go to You › Privacy & data › Delete account. This removes your account and, from our servers, your subscription record, streak dates, partner summary and backups. Data stored on your iPhone is removed when you delete the app. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days. Because your account is shared, deleting it also deletes your Peak Fettle account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK or EU GDPR, or California’s CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. We rely on our contract with you to provide the app, and on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and stable for crash reports. Email admin@peakfettle.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

LifeOS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date above. Material changes will also be communicated in the app or by email.
